Come along to learn the basic techniques and use your imagination to make an unusual mosaic. Sandra is an art teacher who creates many of the mosaic artworks to be found in the Bulleen Art & Garden shop area. For more information about Sandra, click here.
Pots, bowls, table tops, and wall plaques to be mosaiced are available for purchase at the nursery, or you may have something special of your own. Size will depend on how quickly you work and intricacy of design, but we would recommend something of no more than 30-40cm. diameter. Flat surfaces are easier than vertical.

Glass and some ceramic tiles, pebbles etc are available for purchase, or bring your own if you have a particular colour scheme in mind. Bring broken crockery, old jewellery, cutlery, shells etc. (maybe from an op- shop) to add individuality to your work.
There will be some tools for the class to share, or bring your own if you have them.

I am very proud of my mosaic bowl made at the BAAG mosaic workshop in January. I never had done mosaic before but managed to finish this (well, with a little bit of homework since some of the tiles were so small....)
